Cancer Awareness Programme in association with PAC & PMC clubs
The IEEE-EMBS Student Branch Chapter in association with Public Awareness Club (PAC) and Press and Media Club (PMC) has conducted a “Cancer Awareness Programme” for school students at Government Boys Hr. Sec School, Thiruchengode on August 28, 2015.The members of both the club had visited the school and interacted with the students to create awareness on cancer. The program was conducted with the objective of making the students to be aware of cancer, its occurrence, diagnosis, health effects, prevention and treatment techniques. The program was aimed to create awareness on consuming junk foods and bewerages. Small experiments were also performed to reveal the toxic effects of ingredients present unhealthy food items. Around 250 students participated and were benefited.
Idea sharing programme on Latest agricultural practices to be followed in association with Health club
An idea sharing programme on “Latest agricultural practices to be followed” was organized by IEEE-EMBS Student Branch Chapter along with Health Club Wing of KSRCT. In the programme, students from various department had participated and shared their views on modern agricultural practices. Best ideas were selected by the panel members and were awarded.

KSRCT IEEE-EMBS Student Branch Chapter had celebrated the IEEE day on October 6th by arranging awareness programme on “Causes, Effects and Prevention of Diabetes” in which students were benefitted. In addition to it, Project Exhibition was conducted where students exhibited their projects and the best project was awarded. Dr.P.Ponmurugan, Secretary, IEEE-EMBS Madras Section, Branch Counselor, IEEE-EMBS SBC, Professor& Head, Department of Biotechnology, delivered a lecture on “Causes of diabetes, effects and its preventive measures.
Health Awareness Programme in association with PAC & PMC clubs
Health awareness programme was organized in association with PMC and PAC clubs on 30th march 2016.In this programme awareness on human health and what are the measures we should take to live a healthy life s were mainly spoken.
Guest lecture on Food Safety and Security
KSRCT IEEE-EMBS Student Branch Chapter (SBC 60891A) organized a guest lecture program on “Food Safety and Security”. The program was held on ,12.06.2017. Dr.M.Ravikumar, District Designated officer, Food Safety and Security, Namakkal District graced the occasion with his felicitation. Around 120 members participated and were benefitted.
